Christian Carter - Chief Executive Officer
As a Certified Integrated Design Developer, Christian Carter bring expertise to LEXELL that is unique and effective at the same time. As a sixth generation Washingtonian, Christian has a passion for improving the living, working and schooling environments here in the Washington region. He attended Cheyney University for 4 years before opening his first commercial & residential mortgage company. After leaving to open a custom home building company, Christian decided that building was his passion. While working to bring homeowners visions to life, he quickly realized that building without efficient construction methods would be irresponsible an unproductive to society. He has had the privallige of leaning from the top professionals in the green industry like Sen. Harris McDowell, a national leader on energy conservation and sustainable energy utility, David Alter, Washington's longest lasting, and highly skilled Weatherization specialist, and many others. Christian is also a certified renovator and carries certifications in LEED for school buildings, Lead Safe Renovations, Repairs, and Painting, and is also a Green Building Products Evaluator.
Dave Alter - Chief Financial Officer
Dave entered the construction field in February 1982, conducting a low cost/no cost weatherization program thru a Washington Gas Grant. The program required him to visit Civic and Community groups, provide a short program on low cost/no cost measures the homeowner/apartment dwellers could conduct themselves and save on energy costs. During this time, he conducted two weatherization training (4 weeks) sessions for former students who were looking for work, these trainings were funded by DDOE Grants. He became a weatherization contractor in 1985, and performed general contracting home improvements with a speciality in Energy Conservation. He also worked with ARCH Construction from 1988 thru 1993 as the Weatherization Program Supervisor and directed three crews in the performance of work on clients homes that were referred by DDOE. He also performed the same work in Prince George's and Montgomery Counties. In 1993, after he left Arch, Dave continued to work as a general contractor. Through out the majority of his Career, he has administered District Department Of Environment, Weatherization Grants through various community based organizatons.
Al Vaughn - Chief Operating Officer
Al Vaughn is a Washington DC Resident, who has over 20 years experience in Management and Government Procurement. His primary experience has been in the automotive Industry. Prior to joining Lexell Development, Al was the Director - Washington Area Office for Acme Auto Leasing, LLC. He opened and operated a regional office with major concentration on Local and Federal Government Automotive Leasing. He successfully took the operation from infancy to maturity. Al has been involved with numerous civic, community service and professional organizations. A few of these organizations include membership in the Kiwanis Club of Eastern Branch, Prince George's County Chamber of Commerce, NAFA - National Association of Fleet Administrators and NVLA - National Vehicle Leasing Association.

Brent Berisford - President of Development & Construction
As President of Development for LEXELL, Brent Berisford brings over 30 years of construction management experience. He graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a BS in Biology and Chemistry and later studied Environmental Science with a concentration on environmental impact at West Virginia University. Brent Berisford has worked with some of the leading developers, general contractors and sub-contractors in the Washington DC area and all surrounding states. Brent started B. Nice Consulting Inc. 15 years ago which is a construction consulting firm that helps in building tenant owner relationships and most construction advice from "dirt to doorknobs" that still today develops new and ongoing relationships throughout the industry. Brent's current position as Johns Hopkins University's Director of Facilities has brought new connections in the academic and biotech world and he will be involved in the development of Hopkins' Belward Farm BioCity. Brent also carries green certifications that enhances LEXELL's goals of delivering energy and environmentally friendly building applications throughout the region. Brent is best known for his adept skill level in constructing and developing new business.

SW Waterfront Demolition Project

Fenty, wearing khakis, a light blue shirt and red tie (his white sweat towel hanging from his back pocket), said the future D.C. waterfront will be "unrivaled anywhere else in the world." Lexell Development LLC will be doing the demolition work, but Fenty kicked it off, taking off a small chunk of the roof.
